Bob! First mile seemed short, second a bit long. Was pleased to get through 3 miles at just over 7.20 pace, 4th mile was up a slight incline so 4 miles in 29.35 (7.24 pace) gave me the luxury of only needing a 7.50 last miles to PB! Was tootling along nicely at 7.20 pace through the half mile, Saw Paul M (finished 2nd) & Mark C (5th?) warming down, and then at about 3/4 mile felt this rising feeling through my guts! Started throwing up, but kept running, eventually had to stop a couple of times and cough my guts up (just liquid) at the side of the road Jogged in for an 8.41 last mile My pre-race fuelling strategy needs changing for these shorter faster runs. Will have to drop the banana and Luczade Sport that works well for 10 miles plus in favour of water only I guess Met Breezy and Ross before the race, Breezy had a great run at 35 minutes!

Colutd Robbo 6:45 for the first mile (don't think I've ever done that). Last mile was tough (and slow) but still managed a PB by 1:30 so can't really complain. At this rate I reckon that by the time I'm 68 I may catch up with O's Andy (will have to keep plying him with more beer - mind you that hasn't worked in the past.

hayleybrewis Tactically awful - took my foot off the pedal at mile three because it appeared that I was well inside my target pace, and by the time I realised it was too late. Could have pushed myself so much more. Still a PB though, so really shouldn't complain. Nice to see lots of Fetchies.

Tom Tom Complete disaster!! Stomach tightened up at 2 miles, full blown stitch at 4 miles that was too painful to run with. 3 walk breaks in the last mile:(
