_andy Left home at 9:45am (and a bit) after a last minute decision to get to this. A quick muddy blast up to the reservoir and round, followed by a fun and muddy return. Went off quite hard and then lost places gradually (to better runners, honest) all the way round. Raced with no watch at all, which was no bad thing. Ended up in 17th place and below 6.5 min/miles, so no complaints there.

Baza Missed this good local race last year and as it was a counter for the club I gave it a go. Really muddy and wet underfoot which I enjoyed too. 1st back for the club too :-)

justcol 23rd of 158 runners

More cross country than trail race, a very good course.
First 2 miles rolling, muddy, twisting track.
Mile 2 > 4 firmer underfoot with gentle gradient changes.
4 to home, muddy puddles until the Dam and then back along muddy, twisty trail and then road to finish

RunDMc Bah, a mile slower than last year having pulled muscle in first few hundred metres. Need to do some strength work - might give the HMs a miss for a bit, until 10K times are back towards 45 mins and things don't keep getting sore. Very well-organised as ever and the best post-race cakes in Christendom. Lots of sludge, 20 mins for first two miles.

SooWoo Think I knocked 10secs off last year which I'm very pleased with considering it was much muddier than last year and I ran 20 miles yesterday!
