Alun Aimed for around 4 minutes per km on the way out and push for a negative split, the first few Kms were a bit quick but I gradually settled back towards my target, clearing halfway in 31:47. Used the slope down from the park to push the pace, began to chase down the runners ahead of me and that encouraged me to lift my pace more and more. Began to feel the effort with a couple of miles to go but was determined not to ease off, crossing the finish line in 62:58 for a new (2½ minutes) PB and M55 club record. Over the moon!! 🏃💪
