Disco Ron damp day with a strong wind that we had to run into for the entire way, with few areas of shelter!

Fat Boy Good race and pleased to finish 4th overall, 1st M40 and be part of the Carnegie winning team. Well organised event just a pity that the weather conditions were poor.

hillgirl At the start of this race, the weather was very cold and windy. The first 5 miles flew by. Miles 5 to 12 felt more of a plod and then I felt like I had a second winf from 13 to 16.5. At 16.5 started to get cramp in the calves and had to slow down. This went on and off to the end. Route was fantastic. Beautiful beaches. The sun tried to get through, but fortunately the wind stayed strong as otherwise it would ahve been too hot - would just have been nicer if it was behind us :)
