michellea This is my first every half marathon, i just wanted to complete it which i did. My son was in hospital the week before and only came out on the friday and i was ill for a couple weeks before that, so i didnt do hardly any training. I just so pleased to complete the race i wanted to do it in under 3 and half hours which i did. I can only improve from here .

middletoe Hard running on my own. Was trying to run 8 min miles for a 1.45 finish and PB but after 3 miles there was a V steep hill and although went with the downhill slope quickly was always at least 3 mins behind from there. Thought I could catch up later and felt really good at times up to 10 miles but never enough to catch up. Slowed more after 10 miles. Thought I was nearly there when entered park but they make you run around edge of field and that was a killer mentally.
