Agent Orange 21.33 is the offical time (80th out of 306). Watch time was 21.29. It was a great race in blissful conditions with excellent marshalling. The start was a bit crowded but I soon found myself with another runner clearly aiming for around the same time as me, and we covered the first half of the race together. First 2kms in around 8.20. Then I slowed a little on the public footpath bit of the course, covering the next 2kms in around 9.00. My garmin kept telling me I wasn't speeding up in the last km (?interference from trees?) but my body told me I was. Crossed the line in a gratifying sub-21.30 watch time. Met Max, Rapid Snail (who turned out to have finished immediately in front of me) and Runner without a Clue who were all lovely. And

Runner Without a Clue relying on Rapid Snail to pace make me and yell some abuse at me if I slow down too much - hoping for a pb but depends a lot on how I wake up :-) UPDATE: sorry for those who bet on me, can't win em all, insomnia worked against me today - BUT, beautiful course, lovely weather, great to meet fellow fetchies too :-)

Max71 Not sure if I'm going for a PB I shall have to wait and see what the osteopath says really. I may pace Scott round instead....Well what can I say. I walked a couple of times, I've had 10.5 hours sleep in the last two nights...my back is still burgered and I WENT SUB28!!!!! I PB'd and I am over the moon. I seriously cannot beleive I pb'd. I so wasn't expecting that splits were 8mm, 9mm, 9.30mm dead on. I tried Berties method of going off fast and seeing how long I could hold it for....it worked. I took my garmin time as it wasn't chip timing.

Good to meet some Fetchies there too....a local race with Fetchies, how very lovely.
