Um Bongo Very, very hot day so missed PB -Sorry if you bet on me. Also my first race since starting my Hadd style training so difficult to know what to expect. Good thing is I felt fine the day after and managed 12 miles -so maybe had more race in me than I thought.

garfieldhouse I'm going to have a go and try and beat my PB on this one- will depend on the heat though- if it's a scorcher I'm in trouble! Just hope for cloudy skies and a cool light breeze.
UPDATE: Ouch, lovely race shame about the heat- no breeze and baking in the sun with no shade. The organisers did a lovely job and I would definately do this one again. Lovely flat circuit and I really did enjoy it but wanted a PB, sadly didn't happen as it was so hot. Managed a good time for the first 3K, but there after it was too painful- a lot of runners I saw tried too hard and had to give up. Best bit was the smoothie at the end though- lovely!

Heavyweight Was blisteringly hot. No shade - no cover - although not a breath of wind either. I paced this poorly 1st 5k in 26:40 - was hoping to do a good time - but heat got to me I think. Facilities are excellent for this race - but not sure the changing rooms are open for every race that is done here.

Badger Time is official gun time, took me about 20 seconds to get across the start line. It was pretty hot with no shade at all, very hard work as a result. I enjoyed it anyway and would do this one again.

TomM Much hotter than I would have liked, though the extra water stations helped a bit. A little disappointed with my time, but I'll put that down to the temperature! Started fast (too fast) at 5min/KM for the first 3KM, then slowed down and was struggling by 7KM. Boy was I glad to finish.

fraggle Predicted temp of 30C, so I'll have a bad one!!

As predicted - indeed a bad one. Too hot, the sunblock stops my skin breathing, so I overheated even more and felt very ill for a while. Have never been so glad to finish a race :o(

onwards to the next one......
