\J\ Finally a sub 40 again .. 2 weeks of hard training paid off... cloudy day with sunny spells very warm.. Did not like new start, thought it was a bit narrow turning left into Skinnergate.

FfJono Missed a lot of training in the build up to the race through the birth of my little boy Jack. Felt ok on the day but had to stop for a breather after 6k. Still happy it was under 45 mins tho.

Jenson I felt absolutely dreadful. Was panicking by 3km because was struggling. So, maybe I shouldn't feel as disappointed as I do. Oh well.
Race, as ever, is a nice one. Lovely atmosphere and pleasant course. Saw some exciting sprint finishes along High Row! Well done to everyone who ran, clapped and organised. (Oh and two bottles of water on offer is overkill and why don't people use the bins provided!).

jolguk I've decided to go back up to the North East and do this at the last minute. I gather it should be fast, and I raced a fast 5k last night, so I've convinced myself that will help. Nowhere near PB fit at the moment, though. (Don't bet on me!)

Update - rubbish! The course was fine, but it was pretty hot. Crappy time, worst of the season!

Lisrun Fifth time I have done this race. Last year managed 47min03 which was my best yet (although course changed a little) and I hope to beat that time this year. Can't see myself getting a pb.*Update* Quite a warm day and the race yesterday had an affect on my energy levels. Another new start which was very slow start because of narrow streets.

philbo Don't know anything of the course , but knowing Darlo a little bit it should be flat & quick, 1st outing in my club colours pressure on !!!!! Update: very happy with today's time , enjoyed the course after the 1st couple of hundred yards where we were all crammed into a small side street , managed to keep the pace up which i was worried about , but i felt great kept the pace going with the virtual training partner on the garmin very useful , back again next year definitely .

Princess Purple Bubbles Thoroughly enjoyable race run with excellent company...many thanks durham dawdler :) we must do it again some time....the official results have me an entire minute slower...but that takes into account getting across the line so going with garmin time...im definately getting quicker!

RununMan Another good event and atmosphere, with good crowd support. I only decided to enter the night before and had ran 16miles on Friday so was not expecting a PB. Well pleased with run and time.

sLickster A bit of a bottlenecked start! went reasonably well, pleased to scrape in just under my goal of 45 mins (although this was the watch time, due to the huge crowds at the start).
