About this parkrun

The trail around the mere and parkland is delightful. Three laps are never dull surrounded by natural beauty. More or less flat. Reliable grit trail, with a short stretch of tarmac, so plenty of pb potential. Limited facilities.

Easy free parking at the Indian restaurant if you don't mind a walk to the start. 3 laps, hard packed trail, pretty much flat. Road shoes fine!

Hard packed trail; 3 laps around Astbury Mere, flat (22m elevation Gain).
50p pay & display for parking at the end of Sandy Lane (for 4 hours parking), fills up quick so be early.

3 lovely and quite fast laps around the lake on mostly hard pack trail and a bit of tarmac. Very congested start though if you want a quick time! Can't comment on parking as I ran there.

Good flat trail paths around the lake.

3 flat loops around a lake. Mostly paths. Best to park on the industrial estate about .5 mile from the event and then jog over. A bit congested at the start but once the crowd clears plenty of running space.
