Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Lexo What a tough race. But rewarding..Fell on my arse about ten times and got overtaken as per usual by about a hundred runners/maniacs on the down hill sections. Thought i was going to black out coming out of the (never ending) gully and the finish line was a welcome sight. Going to be tough getting back to the tarmac after all this Off road stuff!!!

Ribenaface (RFSQL) Great fun, loads of top folk and a wee bit of snow and scree running. I just wish I could let go a bit more on the downhill heather bashing! Happy with the time though, would have been pleased with under 1:10:00! Oh, and the school dinner afterwards was awesome. :-)

cabey73 still the best. I love this race. Though my prep wasn't all it could have been I felt good lining up at the start. Kept going as much as I could and it now galls me to think that woith a bit better planning and training (including making sure my laces were tied securely!) I might have knocked even more time off last years time. As it is, I was one minute thirty seconds faster this year though I felt that I was an awful lot slower. Physically, I need to work on my quads, my endurance and my aerobic threshold. Kit wise, I need to sort out my running gaiter and I need new trainers as I kept slipping all over the place yesterday. If I get on this next year, I should try and get a run in on the Pentlands about a week before hand as a reminder of what to expect.
