CaptainDad Watch time was 42:36 which is a new best so very pleased. The start was really crowded as were the first 3k due to the narrow paths. The field stretched and opend up and I managed to tick along nicely. Went passed Jamie Baulch who was struggling with cramp on about 7km. Had a good strong finish thanks to this other guy spurring me on. He really helped me to keep my pace up so whoever you were thanks. 238th out of 2189

smash Doing this as part of a work team - better do some training! Update - didn't go well. The corporate teams could start just behind the elites, but I didn't want to make myself unpopular, so I went to the back, and spent the first 2k weaving and clipping heels and elbows. By the time we got onto Cathedral Road I was tired, and had to stop and walk through the water station. It was also very hot. I struggled and staggered to finish under the hour, but I'm still disappointed with my race.
