Forest Runner Clock time, yet to be confirmed. 30 seconds of that were before crssing the start line. Very poor time for me for 10 miles. Can't explain why. Breathing was no problem; legs were not tired, although hamstrings were a bit tight, but I still couldn't manage to run any faster. Six minutes slower than two years ago and three minutes slower than last year. At this rate, it will only be another six years before I take 90 mins to run 10 miles!

GD Finally beat my 10-mile PB - after 12 years & 190 days, no less! Nice run - a lot of it alongside The Thames, so flat 'n' fast. Will be back!

Hollywoof! 1m - 7:32 - 2 seconds off target - headed off steadily (very aware thart 2 years ago I ran the first mile sub-7 and paid for it later) 2m - 7:12 - how did that happen - a tad cross with myself over this... 3m - 7:28 - back on target - talked first with Tiger (who remembered me from a social - who knows what I did then?!) then with a runner I know from my Monday night club runs. I notice both Snoop Dog and Tiger pass me at this point (but don't notice passing them back within a few hundred meters!) 4m - 7:24 - feeling hot - but also feeling like my legs have finally warmed up - can't wait for the water stop... 5m - 7:39 - slower mainly due to the drinks station - you know how it is with cups, especially with today's lovely weather. 6m - 7:27 - running alongside a lady runner with a very annoying Garmin and also a very amusing Turrett's Syndrome affliction (I have no idea why she keeped shouting bu88er!) 7m - 7:30 - still alongside Turrett's lady - keeps me mildly amused :-) 8m - 7:40 - another drinks station (drink one, poor one over my head) - but also my legs are starting to feel a tad tired. 9m - 7:30 - back on target pace. Especially good considering this had the only real nasty patch on the course - had a worrying moment when the runner in a yard front of me tripped on a bit of carpet that had been placed there to hide a trip hazard! 10m - 7:18 - clung to the shoulder of someone who tried to overtake me and held on... :-)

Kinsey Started off did 1st mile in 8.45, but went through mile 2 at about 17m and the splits I think then stayed about the same. Was with Suzie until just after mile 3 but pace was a bit keen for her hangover so went on my own after that. Knew I was going to go under 1.25 by about mile 7 unless something bad happened but it didn't, although mile 7 and 8 were pretty painful and I didn't have anything left to keep up with Miss H at about 9.5m unfortunately. Lovely day helped with the enjoyment factor and then had a pint and chips to recuperate! Hurrah!

Sezz Really chuffed with my time. Thought I'd be much nearer 10 minute miling and was amazed to see 9:07 on my watch after first mile and 9:03 after second mile, and yet it felt fairly comfortable to run at that pace. They were my fastest miles and on average I did around 9:15 with a couple of slower miles at around 7 and 8 miles. I reckon if I'd tried I could have pushed myself a bit more. Lovely course and well marshalled, def a race for next year's calendar.

Spans i love this race, but the legs weren't recovered enough to race it so decided to take it as i could and enjoy it... huh typical I only nearly ran the same time as last week... well okay 12 seconds slower but... but then isn't that what running and racing is all about, ie learning something everytime you go out...
