Brighouse parkrun

About this parkrun

3 laps of Wellholme Park - mainly gravel path, with some grass. Often still runs when other local races are frozen over.
Friendly - group warm up beforehand.

Pretty flat, so good PB potential.

Plenty parking in Tesco car-park next door

Flat and fast course. 3 laps in Summer (including grass surface), 4 laps of rear field path in Winter (all solid surface).

Well attended with definite PB potential

Super-fast, flattish 3-lapper. Tesco parking can be dodgy at 8.50. Probably the best PB-attempt course in this bit of Yorkshire. Loses notional marks for narcissist RD shouting about "my parkrun" - grrr.

It's flat, and fast in summer of it's not too muddy or congested. Very friendly and fun. Handy for Tescos.

3 laps on good paths. Lots of parkruns cancelled today 17th Dec 22 but this was running. Small section on grass, tesco parking 2 mins from start. Friendly volunteers and nice park/woodland. Flat route.

First time I did it was a 3 lap course , currently a 4 lapper due to long term improvement works in the park. Toilets & 3 hours free carparking at the Tesco store close to the start & finish

Last one there for a while as will be closed for park improvement until 2026. 4 lap course on extremely muddy paths but all good fun. Nicely bizarre first timers briefing with exercises!
