Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Lumsdoni Hoping the training is going to show in a good time, we'll soon find out!

That was tough, but so pleased with the time. Avge pace 4:53min/km, about 20s better than 10k PB last month so training obvisouly working. 1st non-charity/mass start race which was a great experience. Concentrated on running my own race and not trying to pick off other runners. Probably went a little too fast over first 2k but got seconds in the bank for the big hill. Well organised race as well!

sanddancer Ouch - that was hard! A rather slower time than I'd hoped for but fortunately I was chasing one of my weakest PBs so the betting points are in the bag! I guess that 40 miler last week isn't fully out of my system yet. I started ok but by 2 miles I was already seriously flagging. I usually catch a few of my fellow stragglers in the second half of a race but the running shoe was on the other foot today and the roles were reversed. Nice to see KatieB in her Fetch top running the other way down the road near the start. Note to self: learn how to tie your sodding shoe laces properly... re-tieing them 3 times must've cost me at least 30 seconds and maybe one position!
