Another running club? One with a difference
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm outside the parade of shops in Stotfold, but why?
Running is becoming an increasingly popular way of exercising. Some people though can feel daunted by joining a running club believing they aren’t fast or experienced enough to keep up.
The idea behind Stotfold Runners is the desire to run and have fun. Running can be quite a competitive pastime and competing in races and consistently beating your previous time is an excellent way to keep fit, however for the slower amongst us it can be quite demoralising when you are left behind.
Our aim
We want to get people together who aren’t athletes, who aren’t record holders. Just people who like to run, or who may not have tried running before but would like to try with a steady group who don’t go too fast and who don’t leave anyone behind.
If you worry about going out on your own at night then we’re the group for you. We always stick together.
We’d like to help with any goals you have in mind. What about completing the local Standalone 10k in October? Does 6 miles sound a really long way right now? With weekly training and a slow increase in distance – anything is possible, even marathons or half marathons! & remember you won’t be on your own.
It’s always at your own pace – we run together
If you want to run with like minded people and have some fun whilst reaping the benefits of regular exercise then Stotfold Runners is for you!

Club Sessions
Tuesday
7pm - Beginners session. Most people start in this group with no running experience and we start with a 1min run and 1min walk and take it from there. The session lasts about 25 minutes, and the activities are tailored to whoever is there on the night.
7.30pm – Intermediates. This is a longer session of between 40 and 50 minutes, and the activities are tailored to whoever is there on the night.
