Dowse, did you do it at home or at a gym ? was it any good ? any interactions with the cyclists ? thinking of getting a footpod to try it out

Did it at home, girlfriend's dad has let me borrow his treadmill. It's not a fancy bluetooth one though, so I manually have to change the speed/gradient.
The group run only had 3 people and I didn't see them after the first 10 seconds, but it made the 10k marginally more interesting than just a normal run. A run with loads of people would be really good. One guy had a controllable treadmill so they were probably feeling the hills.
Did a 4 x 1600m workout yesterday too and that was quite good, easier to push yourself if the screen is telling you what to do. Nice to have the little progress bars and countdowns.
No real interactions. A few ride ons. It's entertaining to get run over by a pack of 200 riders flying past.
The footpod is pretty accurate to the treadmill speed, goes a bit off at the slower (<9kmh) or faster (>14kmh) speeds. Could probably be fixed with calibration, but I can't be bothered, I just go with the lower of the treadmill or Zwift distance. Off the treadmill I also use the footpod to look at my cadence/speed, especially on the track, so it's not just useful for Zwift.
It's much harder to use a laptop or phone while running compared to cycling which is a down side.

Thanks Dowse, i'll probably take a punt. It would be interesting to have group track sessions on a controllable treadmill though. Though to be honest i really should actually just go down to my local track

Competed in my first Zwift race last night. The KISS Crit Womens Europe. 6 laps of London Classique.
Started off thinking it was 18 miles when in fact it was 24. Hung on at around 22mph coming in 33rd out of 41 I think.
Was with a group of about 5 ladies for most of it but shot off ahead in the 5th Lap (thinking it was the last lap) and stayed out in front until the end.
Got lapped by RachE but that's fine
Quite pleased with my consistency, although could feel myself fading in the last 3 - 4 miles but managed to hold on enough to not dip too much. Really pleased with my performance and managed to get an increased FTP from it too.

Good work Anj. Feeling an urge to do my (first) race, know I will get battered but if I park the ego reckon there's a good workout to be had.

Saturday afternoon Sprint, TRO? YKIMS.
Yesterday's schedule was really strange. There were five or so sprints. Most days there are none (I think).

I like Zwifting around 4pm at weekends - no more daylight but the 'evening' has not begun so fills a couple of hours nicely. If there's anything in that slot I could well be in....

I think last Saturday it was a bit earlier than that. Stand by one.

It's Watopia tomorrow. If I do anything it will be the 15:40 I reckon.

Nice one Anj
I’ve only just attempted my first group workout. Think I’m a good way off racing...
