There’s a new Netflix three part series about the Boston bombings and I’ve seen the first episode and it’s very good. No spoilers from me and I’ve not read any reviews but I thought I’d mention it incase people weren’t aware and were interested.

Maybe see you in Chicago, Foxy. It’s been ages since I’ve been up to the MK lakes!

Big_G sorry I missed your question on the previous page. I stayed at Harlem Grand both years when I did New York so I'm not sure about other areas. Harlem is on Manhattan Island of course so it is a good base and inexpensive. It was very easy to get to Staten Island on the subway as they run in the early hours. The train that I went for was a 5 minute walk and there were quite a lot of other runners heading for it.

thanks for the gee-up, I've booked a Boston hotel close to the Aquarium. It was pretty unreasonable but nowhere near some of those prices you'd posted Big_G although there were plenty of those available! Looks OK transport wise....fingers crossed it'll work out OK and that my 15 min buffer will get me in, LOL!!

It is a nice spot around there, WW. And Little Italy nearby if you need to carb load and a place called Mike’s Pastry if you want some cannoli :)

Just saw this! For me, Yuki’s effort when he won Boston in extremely tough conditions is the stuff of legend - I genuinely think of him when I’m having a tough time in my own races and think ‘what would Yuki do?’. He’s ran over 100 sub-2:20s and for some reason he ran London from the masses this year, coming first from the masses there with a 2:13. I read London put him in there because he’d ran a previous marathon too close to London, which seems odd. He posted a tweet seeming to reference this, as it appears he was expecting an elite start.

A local parkrun now? I was just saying to my wife a few minutes ago that I'm definitely entering the Chicago ballot every year now, at least until my legs stop working.
