Chess.com with a tongue in cheek pose about Ding not moving a muscle in 40 minutes which ironically about the last thing I saw too!

I was a bit worried the match was going to fizzle out after that first week but today's game from Ding was a masterclass in positional play, and the ability to bounce-back.

BrianJ Dec 2024 4:00pm, 13 Dec 2024 1,599 posts	0 BrianJ On the chess front, when Ding blundered it wasn't immediately obvious to me it was losing, I saw the final position was, but Ding could have played Ke1 instead - once I'd set it up on a board, Ke5 wins anyway, taking the distant opposition. It's instructive, and a bit disappointing none of the commentators analysed that amongst all the excitement.
