Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Leah is 11 and really showing her age now. Grey haired, doddery and very thin. She still looks bright eyed and enjoys what she can (cat food, custard, chicken, cheese...)

Aw bless. That's an interesting combination of food.

Ernie continues to do well. He coped remarkably well with the chaos of overnight guests. He has however gone from waking between 6 and 6:30 and waking well before 6. The last 2 mornings I have popped in him back in the crate for a while. Apart from ensuring he is tired any suggestions??

I'm always told to ignore unwanted behaviour, so would suggest not going to him until you decide it's time to get up. You might find he sleeps later (and earlier) when the nights get darker . I always shut the curtains in the room Charlie sleeps on, to keep it as dark as possible!

That doesn't make much sense - I meant as the nights get longer :-)

I closed the blinds the last couple of nights but it didn't make a difference. I thought it best to go to him as he probably needs the loo. Do you think I should leave him to hold on for another hour or more?

Phoebe has just claimed the life of another mouse. She was very quick in grabbing and crushing it.

Cookie then tried to steal it.

The same Cookie who yesterday escaped into the neighbours garden, then went into his house and had a look round upstairs 😀

Hehe naughty Cookie! I hope the neighbours weren't too cross?

We've just had a committee meeting here. Our chairman is not that keen on dogs but everyone else on the committee likes dogs. Guess whose feet Flossie spent all evening lying next to?

I'd forgotten about the need to pee, halfpint. I used puppy pads at night. If Ernie has access to paper or pads, I'd leave him!
