Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It may have been the excitement/stress of travelling that caused him to breathe a bit faster. Again, I'm no expert with puppies but I think Rosehip is probably right, if he is otherwise not distressed it's probably OK....maybe ring the breeder though who should be able to tell you what's normal for him.
And in the meantime... any pictures of him settling in yet? :-)

I can't remember if he's a hairy dog? Maybe he's a bit hot after being in the car? Charlie is spending much of the time asleep on the marble hearth at the moment. Summer doesn't feel particularly warm to me but he finds it so under his thick coat!

He is sleeping and has gradually made his way from beside me into my lap. I am going to have to toughen up. He seems content so I presume normal breathing.

Photo to follow.

I remember being slightly alarmed at the fast breathing - but researched and it's normal.

What a cutie! I have an almost identical pic to your top one even though Jess was so much bigger. Your lives will change :-)

Wanda's advice to the new puppy is ... however delicious things may look .. if it's not in your food bowl/given to you by your human you shouldn't be eating it.....(by next week Wanda will have forgotten all about this advice!)

Ernie is gorgeous

Lovely puppy, HP :-) They grow so fast though...overnight, it seemed with Flossie!

Yes Flossie would also tell Ernie never to eat dried fruit but I reckon if she was presented with another bag she would still eat it again :-(

We have already managed to get him sitting for a treat. I think food might be a good motivator and I'm hoping this indicates good training potential. The breeder said he's the most well behaved of the litter. The one she is keeping is wild. He's also hoovered up all the crumbs on the kitchen floor and I have already removed a tiny bit of Lego from his mouth.
