Hopefully all the hard work you have done with her will pay off, if there is any justice

I think Cookie and Phoebe are still recovering from the weekend. Just did a v slow run with them around local fields. They are back in bed.

Have they been hungrier than normal as well as sleeping more, Dave?
I'm enjoying having George to stay. I don't think he likes the fact that he can't sit and look out of the window here like he can at Mother's but apart from that, he's settled well. He has taken a liking to what was the cat's chair. My dear, departed ginger monster would definitely not approve!

I've intentionally gave them more food to make up for the extra work they've been doing.

We are having our training lesson in the local tourist hot spot this morning and the sun is shining.... B has had the wind up her tail since she got up. She has been 'shut in the kitchen' a record of three times already and its only 10.00... what could possibly go wrong?

Hopefully all that concentrating on being good will make Bryony tired for later. We are also off to 'school' soon - twice in as many days as we were back to our old class yesterday. There were four of us - me & Wanda doing Gold, two Silvers and a newbie who just did their best
I'm in no doubt now that the 'new' class I am going to today is the one to stick with long term but whether I can afford the time & money to do both for a few weeks or whether that will be right for Wanda I will have to see after today's class.
Interestingly the rules for KCGC tests have changed a bit. The dog has to be scanned for a microchip by the examiner now, as well as showing your collar tag & poo bag at the start of the test! They do not HAVE to do it all on the collar and can wear a harness and possibly a headcollar (not sure on that bit as I will try to do it in the collar) But most interestingly the Gold Test rules for relaxed isolation have also changed and the dog can spend their relaxed isolation in a crate... this may just be our saviour... our crate will now be used on a daily basis for Wanda to practice her relaxed isolation in wherever I can put the thing up in the house (it's huge) and for good measure outside as well... fingers and paws crossed!

That sounds really good news about the crate BBL! We survived!
Lots of dogs, lots of excitement but physically manageable and no aggression from B despite some provocation. She is REALLY LOVELY with people which makes me proud. The trainer said it will probably get worse before it gets better with other dogs....... thx for that but I suppose best to know rather than feel I'm failing. Next week its; "really busy blow your mind local town full of dogs" apparently, what fun!

That really is quite like Jess D. She has always been at ease with people of all shapes, sizes and ages... Which is a REAL boon with a big dog. In fact B. Sounds even better than Jess, who 'could' be over exuberant with people she really takes too.
For what it's worth from this distance I'm SURE Bryony is not aggressive. Biting YOU is something else, and she WILL grow out of it. Xx

She is certainly not showing any sign at all of aggression and the trainer is very confident that its not in her personality.
The feet biting is just her being a puppy and the jumping up and grabbing my arm is her being over excited and me not dealing with it properly. If I squeak when I feel her teeth its sending out signals of weakness to which she thinks she has the upper hand.
It would be very easy without correct lessons for her to think she should take charge but her place in the hierarchy needs reinforcing every day. Its just very tiring but will be worth it in the end. All of this we know of course but keeping it up 24/7 is the hard bit.
