I don't think I'll ever pay back in premiums the amount insurance has paid out on Ralph so far.

A shower after every walk? R does not do showers or baths, the thought of that fight every day!

I have a cape/zip bag towel for the worst days, otherwise let the mud dry and brush it off.

they're very funny Alice ... but not 'quite' as funny as the Fetch buff ones. :-)

Time for another of those soon!

This is the utility room, Charlie's bedroom, which he's happy to play in all day but seems terrified of come darkness.

Bless his little heart Alice... he's clearly quite comfortable in there. Was the washing machine on when either of those pictures was taken? And just a thought, has it ever been on at bedtime and surprised him. Many years ago when I was about 9 we had a dog who didn't like being in the (fairly small) kitchen and hated going to bed in there. It was only when we moved house and the washing machine was housed in the utility room not the kitchen where the dog spent much of her time, did we realise that it was the washing machine that terrified her. Obviously as kids we were oblivious to much of this anyway but my mum felt guilty about it for a long time.

Charlie doesn't, I have to say, look particularly terrified in either picture though... ;-)

The machine was on in the photos but we never have it, or the tumble drier, on at night. The freezer cuts in and out - but then it does through the day too. I think he just doesn't like being alone.
