Great pic SjA, looks like she is really enjoying it. And well done on the 3rd place.

Cheers ;)

I did a gopro vid since it was her first ever race. My first attempt at gopro so probably could have had the camera angled down a bit more but I'm learning ;)

A little long at 26 mins (few mins after the race which I haven't trimmed) but if anyone wants to see how canicross works - here it is!

She pulls well doesn't she.

I liked the kids casually going past on the electric scooters 😂

I have a 5k time trial at one of our local parkrun routes this weekend and taking arlo up for it. No other dogs running but thought it would be a good chance to start getting him used to a few more people being around.

She was born to pull lol - As a 20 min flat 5ker myself, I think we both overcooked the first mile in 5:40!

That super fast lady with the big dog finished in 18:30 but they had also both run the cani 10k earlier in 34:55!!

I might try some parkruns with her once they get going again normally but if you want a race to try with Arlo when old enough, even though I have only run there once I would recommend Thoresby Park - It was a lovely day out and well organised. They have another in October that I am going to do:

Am also thinking of this one in June but it might be a bit warm unless I do the earlier 10k with her:

Didn’t have time to watch the whole thing but WOW! I think I’d be like a dead weight holding Ernie back if he pulled like that. As it is he’d start like that then stop dead to sniff every bloody blade of grass we pass.

If I walk her she finds everything amazingly distracting lol - not when harness is on though!

For those who don't have time to watch, it's worth checking out her sprint finish from 21:45 bless her ;)

fantastic photo and video!

I was supposed to do the half marathon but currently unable to run (or walk that much). Looks like you were really well spread out in the start funnel

Yes they said to leave 2m between in the cani. I didn't see any general race starts so not sure how crowded it was for them.
