Sorry, I've had the same issue with arlo and his eye drops. I've got no solutions. I hated doing it and the vets gave no suggestions to make it easier.
We waited until he was napping and then had the drop ready to drip and gently woke him so his eye opened.

Sorry not much help, we never did find it easy. I used to wrap ralph in a big towel and employ a teen to virtualy sit on him to add ear drops or cleaner

Gosh I can imagine eyes are tough! I’m planning on doing the ear wash first thing tomorrow when sleepy. The antibiotic drops need to be 30 mins later....
I will try some treat training when I touch his ears through the day to see if that works but can imagine it’s going to be a bit of a battle. He’s already getting wise to it.
I just hope that it’s a lot better by our check up next week.

Sorry Pen, a two person battle administering anti flea 'Stronghold' when Jess was young. I swear she could identify the paper bag that held the box, the held the vials that held the minute quantity of liquid that need to be blobbed onto her shoulders and spine. world's most suspicious dog. 'It's a trap!' is one of her catchphrases.
We moved onto herbal anti flea that you sprinkle on food from roughly May to October and she's never had fleas or ticks.
We've been VERY lucky that she's never had ear or eye infections.

I can offer no advise. We were told to clean Ernie's ears regularly but after the vet did one we can't get near his ears. The sight of cotton wool sends him running.

Well I got some ear drops in this morning. It’s a total battle to get his head still enough to get anywhere close. I think his ear must be quite sore.
He seems to have quickly forgiven me though.
Gosh I hope it gets better quickly!! I think he’s in the early stages of teething too. 🙄😭

They told me to clean the other ear too. Quite frankly at the moment I’m prioritising the poorly one.
(Ear cleaner in both, then antibiotic drops 30 mins later in poorly ear. Twice a day!!)

Don't know if it will help PenW, but could you try just gently touching his hears when he's chilled? We haven't (touch wood) had any problem's with Chester's ears but we try to regularly touch, poke, examine, so that he's used to us touching them.

I would suggest the same as MN. Part of our puppy training was getting Charlie used to being touched all over. It makes drying him after a wet walk and trips to the vet a piece of cake. He still flinches and pulls if he’s in pain though. Poor pup, I hope his ear improves quickly.
