Well now, is she playing games with us? While she was looking very sorry for herself on the sofa this morning I gave her another good look over, in particular her hind leg which has given her trouble from time to time.

Her paw in particular seemed very sensitive (I know paws and pads are generally, and I did the same to all four but this one was significantly more sensitive). I couldn't see or feel anything, but gave each toe a good massage.

Next thing I know, she's off the sofa, and at the mention of the W word wags her tail vigorously. We've just returned from a perfectly normal albeit shorter than usual walk, and she seems fine again.🤷‍♀️

At least that sounds a bit more positive - hopefully whatever it is is going away of its own accord.

My dog has a new pet; a baby rabbit sheltering from the rain that he found while I was gardening. He has been carrying it around gently for the last hour, in the end I told him to let it go and he did; its fine and has gone to find somewhere less busy to shelter. It may have been a different story had it run I suppose.

Interesting the behaviour of different dog breeds! I tend the think Wanda may have her own opinion on pets?

I should not have read D2's comment about what Wanda might have done with the rabbit with a mouthful of biscuit!!

Very sweet of Indi though. Wanda is even discouraged from having squeaky toys given that a distressed baby rabbit's squeal is not dissimilar to the noise they make.

Wanda did very proudly pick up a dead squirrel from the road out on a walk yesterday and needed more persuasion that usual to 'leave it' I think it would have been carried all the way back to the car otherwise!

Hoping no news about Flossie this morning is good news.

I was holding my breath Rh but didn't want to interfere with his natural instincts, he was unbelievable gentle and proud of it too. He lay down with in between his front legs and licked it a bit but that was all just bringing it with him when he moved as I moved doing the weeding!
