fledgeling massacre going on here too BBL :( stupid blackbirds have nested in the same bit of the honeysuckle that they did last year and Ralph just waited for them to drop to the ground.

I feel rotten, always moaning about the sodding local cats doing it and then my dog joins in!

Despite my best efforts an inspection of the garden found a second fledgling. :-( On a more positive note though Wanda is settling in to wearing the muzzle very well - I will post a more relaxed picture later.

Unfortunately probably the only place where she actually 'needs' to wear the muzzle is the garden to protect the bird population (although wearing it has also saved the life so far of a baby rabbit and bizarrely a mole, when out on walks!)

She does look oblivious to the muzzle well done for persevering.

I'm glad you've found a muzzle that doesn't rub her nose and that she seems content with. I must say she looks very relaxed on her mat :-)

Oh bless her! She doesn't look as though she's bothered by that muzzle. I still haven't found one that George will wear without dragging his nose along the ground to get it off. Very difficult.

My Mum has a similar problem with George and blackbirds nesting in the honeysuckle, rh. Very easy pickings for a smart little terrier. :(

Cleo has today decided, at the age of 10, that she suddenly doesn’t like thunder and that she should whine incessantly in protest against it. She wasn’t happy in any of the three dog beds available to her and Stella, and has decided that the only safe spot in the house is the couch. I think I’ve been played.

I think you are right FG, though it is horrible for them when they are frightened of something like that.

Dogs Trust fun day today. Phoebe and Cookie came for a couple of hours. I’m disappointed that one of my work colleagues didn’t pick her in the dog show ‘Fabulous Female’ category!

I don't do dog shows anymore. The best Charlie has ever been placed is 3rd (4 times!!!) and I *know* he was the best dog there by a country mile :-p

I remember my mum saying something similar back in the 60's when she decided to stop entering us in the Bonniest Baby competitions!
