Bloomin' heck LD Flossie spends more time with you than her family. Or maybe it just seems that way.

Apologies I meant Lottie - Flossie is with her family.

Advice please, clever dog people.
Rory ideally needs a front-leading harness. He's got an easy leader one (the posh version lined with neoprene), but it rubs under his arms. He's got a perfect fit one, but it's rubbed all the hair off where it fastens round his middle, and the skin underneath gets sore.
Has anyone come across one that doesn't rub? I'm sure the actual problem is that because he's an idiot and I can't let him off, he just wears his harnesses an awful lot (he's got a headcollar, but then he just rubs his face along the ground and it drives me BONKERS).

I'm sure you have probably tried already but can you adjust the perfect fit one at all so it doesn't rub? We went through loads of different harnesses all of which rubbed Wanda until we tried Perfect Fit and they have been brilliant for her (she will also pull especially when doing parkrun) as she also is not off the lead that much.
The other one that worked well for us is the Halti harness (not the headcollar but they do a harness too which is one strap round the midriff and another round the chest and you use it with a halti double ended lead. I had to order it online as I don't think I have seen them sold in any pet shops and most try to sell you a halti headcollar if you ask for one. My previous trainer recommended it and we got on well with it too although got the Perfect Fit around the same time and found that one slightly easier for getting on/off plus we didn't always need the double lead.

Jet had an 'Perfect-fit' harness fitted by them and it's the first one he's ever had that fits properly - others assume the dog has much wider shoulders. Jet's harness doesn't rub. I saw a canicross lady the other day with 'pull' harnesses on her dogs which looked strong and well padded. Might that be a way forwards?

Hmm. Maybe I should get an actual person to fit a Perfect Fit harness - I emailed them with his measurements, but he kind of falls between sizes.
The Halti one looks quite like the Easy Leader harness - its that one strap round the middle that ends up under his arms and rubs. Again, maybe it's the fitting.
Do the canicross ones have the lead attached on the back? Anything on his back and he pulls and pulls and pulls (the harness just means he can REALLY put some power into it).
There's a lot of 'yes but' going on here sorry.
Wobbling, of course he has arms - they keep his hands on!

You're right. A Canicross is designed so the dog *can* pull. Sorry, I hadn't thought of that!

lol!
Ernie was a total star today out in the hills. We climbed a corbett and there was snow and ice which fazed him not one bit. He loved the snow and was bounding through the heather on the way down. My friends were rather impressed by him (and QP who was also a bloomin' star).
