Exciting times.

I'vee just watched Episode three of Me and My Dog. I got a bit emotional so my dog is now draped across my lap being 'reassuring'. I really need to get on with 'stuff' though, and I can't do that sitting down, but it is rather nice to have the cuddles.

Rory is a great name for a dog. The pooch we had when we were growing up was a Rory, also known as PoorRory because he wasn't very bright...

I liked the earlier coment about the dog that was handsome but a bit thick. :-)

I felt a bit sad at the end of Episode 3 too. I think Charlie would love the sniff game! Probably not the swimming, although he loves water. He just likes to keep his feet on the floor.

I've just had a very nice chat on the phone with the owner of the kennels where Wanda will be spending a day soon ahead of a further overnight stay and maybe in the future a short break all being well...

He has tried to reassure me that just because she is a rescue she will not think that I am leaving her there to be rehomed because that's what happened at Battersea and will not spend all the time wondering if I am ever coming back for her and as long as someone feeds her and takes her for a walk she will almost certainly be quite happy. He also said that they have more than 200 'customers' who are Staffies and all stay quite happily.

I'm sure he knows what he is talking about but I'm still worried.... :-)

I worried when I left Floss at the highly recommended kennels Baroness and she's not a rescue! I wouldn't she loved it (no sofa!:-0) but she survived and I can't discern any lasting effects. That said, she is much happier to stay with my sister than to slum it in kennels ;-)

Jess RUNS into Dogwarts (as Raffo calls it).

She's only stayed two nights at most but several times and shows no reluctance whatsoever. One of our walks takes us down by the side of the kennels and there's never any distress about approaching it either.

Of course the trick for you is DON'T LOOK BACK.
