Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Red Ant please do not trouble yourself I did not really expect that you would be able to take him on. I have my assessnent with the dogs trust this morning and I will get in touch with the other dog rescue and will see what they think

Let me know if you don't have any success (but I'm sure you will). It would just be nice for you to know where Henry is going :(

The assessment at the Dogs Trust went very badly. He was so nervous and afraid then the environment was very distracting. I was asked to leave the room so the assessor could work with Henry on his own. I think she only took his lead off him then tried to get it back on him but he kept running away from her. They felt that he just wouldn't cope well in kennels with different people coming in and out to him each day. It is probably a fair assessment as he he needs time to bond with people

Leah, the grand old lady of the Woof, bark and whine thread, was put down this afternoon. No single reason - just the accumulation of many factors due to her age and allergies. The time was right though; the vet gave her a sedative and she slid down on to the floor next to me and lay there for the next set of injections and slipped away quietly.

Oh Cyclops :-( It is heart-breaking but undoubtedly you have made the kindest decision at the right time. There will be a Leah-shaped hole in your life now, won't there? Very big hugs xx

Goodbye to the thread's Grande Dame, then.

You knew the time was right but oh how you will all miss her.
