It's considerably easier to train the dog to understand the rules than to train other members of the household to enforce the rules. This particularly applies, I've found, with the 'no feeding the dog from the table' rule...... ;-)

I'm thinking more of liver cake in one pocket and M&Ms in the other.

one of the dogs in my class tonight slipped its lead and got into the advanced all off lead class, terrifying noise, I couldn't look! All still alive luckily, my baby's lead is held very tightly. :(

Don't get your pockets mixed up HP ;-)

Crikey D2 that would make me shudder :(

Dexter was an angel in his class last night. He is definitely getting much better at obeying my commands at home. Clearly the training classes are for me rather than Dexter ;-)

That does sound scary. I dread to think what would happen if an out of control off lead dog charged up to Wanda when she is training - she is fine if all the dogs are working in the same way as they all ignore each other but if something else charged in among them I suspect it would be a bit of a bundle :-o

blimey D2 sounds like an experience.

It sounds like Dexter is keeping you right redant.

All this talk of puppy class has me thinking. Ernie has been a total pest the last few days. I have realised it is probably because class has stopped for a while - I have presumably dropped the ball as a result. Also routine gone as I am off work, lots of emotional turmoil and we ran out of liver cake!!!!!

Some of you might enjoy this - cracking photographs of the faces dogs pull as they catch treats...
