I'm sure the host family will be confident about their dog. GSDs are fine with even the smallest dogs if they are used to them. I hope the visit goes well.

By coincidence OH and I were discussing what to with Floss for our Gt South Run weekend. Last time she went to kennels with Bella but even so I don't think she really liked it, and now of course there's no Bella for company :-(. I think a home-stay or pet -sitter is the best option for us. I must get on and do some research. Hope it goes well for you and Jet, Helegant.

Even Leah was able to cope with two cairn terriers we once looked after for a day and they were vicious little b*ggers. Leah followed them round all day trying to look after them. They ate her food, nipped her face and bit my leg!

Littlest hooligan (18 weeks) is currently curled up at my feet under the desk at work... You buy them a nice bed and they prefer to lie on the floor! |

I take 2 dogs out for a walk about once a week via a website called Borrow My Doggy, which is essentially internet dating for dogs and humans. I've just house-sat for their owners for 2 weeks so the dogs could stay at home rather than going to kennels. Possibly a bit short notice to organize for this weekend, but might be an option for another time?

How far are you from Hastings Maz? And do you like, er, 'characterful' GSDs?
