Fragile Do Not Bend
The little spikey things look like Samphire but the flowers are on a different plant. Samphire flowers are yellow (I googled that too :) ). It’s not clear enough to see what the purple flowers are.

A bit more googling suggests the spikes are Glasswort and the flowers are Sea Lavender.

I’ve just googled about that fauna here as it’s a nature reserve (Holkham) and found out this...

Sea Lavender forms extensive carpets and creates a misty-blue haze around creeks. A closely related plant, the Matted Sea Lavender, is a North Norfolk speciality and forms cushions rather than carpets.

If that is samphire / glasswort, then that's not a beach, it's a saltmarsh!
