Looking back through my photos and I did get one of the bigger area of the sea lavender. You have to zoom in to the bit on the right... |

So here are a couple more that I can't identify in person, from whilst walking in the Dales last weekend. Both growing very happily on poor/thin soil over limestone! Any ideas, please? Flower & leaf for each one.... (Flowers start "solid" then as they open they become wonderfully feathery!) and TIA! |

Top one is Filipendula, probably meadowsweet. Other is Betony... but could just be selfheal if I have misjudged the scale.

Looks like meadowsweet to me, second flowers look like self-heal, but the leaves don’t to me...

The narrow leaf looks like betony, the compound leaf is meadowsweet.

Should change the title to Blossom and Wildflowers and Berries. The rowan berries are spectacular at the moment. |
