First week of multiplayer is nominally the 128 highest ranked players not on a break.

In practice, it's marginally more complicated than that but I have no idea how the complicating factors interact or are applied.

Thanks Not a Real Runner for a great match last week, and hello gradgrind. Good luck everyone with the new multiplayer too!

I have to say I had been signed up for the but oblivious, however, my training meant I was actually competing just didn't realise it.

I started playing properly 3-4 weeks ago, since then I think I'm getting worse despite running and walking more than ever - or my competitors are getting better ;)

I did discover last week majority of my runs were taking me out of the grid which wasn't at all helpful. Now need to think about how to move it to make it more profitable, however, this week I will have to try to run within the grid while I work out what is best.

Its keeping me entertained though hahaha

Hi MT. I had half an eye on the grid master badge this week. If you could put the game beyond reach by say....Thursday that should leave me enough time to concentrate on it ?šŸ˜‰

Fetch - re the 128th qualifying ranking score rising - A couple of maths thoughts. (1) At each "week 1" do we know how many people were taking part in the game overall? And (2) When was the 1000 point base line introduced so that nobody could drop below 1000? (1) would cause an increase assuming that some play the game more than others and (2) means that the average points ranking rises as games that would have created a score to go below 1000 add a value to the whole ranking total rather than netting to zero

Perhaps now that there are more players, round 1 could be extended to 256 players, By definition in that week, there wouldn't be enough squares to get 1 each and so people would need to obtain a certain amount of coverage to stay in the game which would eliminate those not running at the moment

Thanks for creating game by the way - certainly made me raise my running mileage in recent weeks to a level that i didn't previously imagine possible! :)
