However as usual I suspect it’s been cut in a way to make the original couples seem volatile and deeply unsuitable.

I know a couple who went on Wife Swap - quite well known Bridge players - if you're a bridge player. They regret doing it, but it was hilarious viewing for everyone else!

I wonder what the statistics are around % of people taking part in reality TV who regret it.

Depends who, what show and how much they subsequently make out of it. For a very very small percentage of people on a specific few programs it's worth a few bob. You won't get rich off Big Brother any more - it's so 2001...

Probably quite high. They deliberately pick people who are talking points. Like a flamboyant gay guy and a homophobe on Come Dine With Me. Normal people would make very boring viewing.

Post with Tea.
Not BB anymore, Love Island is the place to go. I’d like to see a version with people my age, but it wouldn’t be sensational viewing I suspect!

The TOWIE, MIC all seem to have done ok out of it ordies that not count? I became addicted to Celebrities Go Dating mostly because I adore Tom the GAY junior relationship co-ordinator. All the people that go on that seem to be off those sort of shows. Not famous for actually doing anything like acting or singing (with the odd exception)
