Another +1 for Richard Osman. He is just too pleased with himself all the time

I don't know who Osman is but one thing that gets my goat are gameshows when the host harps on about how sorry he is whenever someone gets knocked out. They are not sorry. The game is designed that way. If they were sorry, they would be on a different gameshow.

[I was watching something about Ant and Dec last night and they showed a game they used to do on SMTV called Wonky Donkey. When the callers got it wrong, Dec really yelled at them for being a bit dim. It was quite strange to see given that nowadays no-one is allowed to *lose*]

It's a rare host who can come across as sincere.
Most contestants come across as idiots (given they're usually picked for entertainment value rather than knowledge/common sense) so we usually root against them anyway.

[We used to enjoy 3-2-1 when Ted Rogers would gleefully show the contestants what they *could* have won, but hadn't ]

...or Bullseye. The 'dart player' who was off target throughout the show and his partner who had probably never held a dart going for the gamble.
Jim Bowen and Tony Green were probably thinking "serves them right, greedy so-and-so's" when they failed.

Kay Burley .Sanctimonious inquisitor who broke the Covid rules herself .Clearly has had " work " done and looks like a ferret in a wind tunnel.
