Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What new kit have you bought/has arrived in the post today?

Gill got some Ear Bags in the post today, and says I should tell you about them as she thinks they would be ideal for runners. Keep your ear warms without bands. They fit over ones ears!

Has the frame arrived yet, NE? I hope it loves the Ultegra set up as much as mine does, I haven't looked back.

We have a postman like that too, and he doesn't only deliver bike parts :)

Sometimes I think I'd swap the generous postman for a less leaky bank account.

Yes, the frame arrived last week - perhaps I should have mentioned that. It is truly a thing of beauty :-)

I was going for 6800, but to be honest the cost differential put me off. I've been sourcing most of this stuff from different places and while there are bargains to be had, 6800 costs that much more. For example, the chainset was 95 quid, while it would probably be at least 135 - 140 for comparable in 6800. I've found that quite a few dealers have what they term "OEM", basically brand new but not in a Shimano box. For example, I got the shifters from J E James and it transpires that they bought a job lot off Giant, I guess bike manufacturers have to fit the latest and greatest so these were surplus. Still wrapped in plastic and all the tags, just not shiny grey box :-)

Some New Balance 880v4's. Unfortunately a NB size 8 is not the same as a Nike Pegasus size 8 so they are winging there way back to be exchanged for a size 9.

# disappointed. :( was hoping to try them out at Parkrun today
