Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What minor disaster has befallen you today?

I cut a chunk off a Yumnut and tried to lick the icing off the knife with my mask on. It's a disposable mask so I was able to throw it away and put on another one.

When I make myself a coffee, the first thing I do after picking it up is take a sip as I walk away with it. However, at work I have to wear a mask when I go into the kitchen to make it. I haven't yet filtered my coffee through my mask but it's been close a few times.

I've been promoted from mute enforcer to slide wrangler for a big meeting with important stakeholder type people next week because the guy who was supposed to be slide wrangling has turned out to be a bit useless with technology.

I already felt like I could barely find the mental energy for the original role, the new one will be more demanding and higher visibility if I cock up.

I made gingerbread people today. The results are a little like a very serious road traffic accident. Broken arms, broken legs and decapitations. They taste ok though.

I couldn't get the top off from a jar of vitamin c tablets. The top had a child lock..

Tablets were about a year out of date, so went in bin.

Potentially torn calf muscle, strained it yesterday, but it felt ok today. Then on my run today I had to leap over a puddle into the road to avoid a pedestrian, limping a bit now :(
