That if GlennR answers his own question like that, I need to flick back and forth between the pages to confirm it.

On the grounds it had digestive utility? Actually, it sounds more like he had a bit of a boogie, rather than a jog. |

Fragile Do Not Bend
They said on QI that he's not on public display any more as the students kept nicking him.

Not sure who I distrust more, QI or Wikipedia. Greppers can pop in and check next time he's at the British Museum. |

Yes, remind me - I love a 'find it' challenge. I'm up Friday week (going to re-visit the watercolour landscapes exhibition in Room 90 that ends on the 27th. It's *really* good if you're out Bloomsbury way - well worth a schlep up the stairs).

Attempts to misappropriate the encased form of Jeremy Bentham from UCLs entrance in my time at King's were thwarted by the sheer avoirdupois of the learned gentleman. However, in 1989, Bentham's mummified head was stolen by King's 'mascoteers' and a wax replacement met a similar fate two years later. In contrast, thefts of Reggie the Lion from KCLs Strand Building were frequent: he was found virtually flattened in a quarry, and his *ahem* leonine regalia were cruelly removed by Imperial College villains, only to be retrieved and reattached! If remotely interested, refer to alumni.kcl.ac.uk |
