The penguin had previously been knighted; and will now be known as Brigadier Sir Nils Olav. It had formerly held the rank of Colonel-In-Chief. William (Billy) Windsor served as Lance Corporal for the regiment between 2001 and 2009.. except for a brief stint in 2006 when he was demoted to Fusilier following inappropriate behaviour at the Queen's official birthday celebrations.
