Don't think I'm quite up to taking on the 'Orror just yet.........but I need to push on the distance now, ready for the Sirhowy Challenge.

A lovely day I thought and i did do some important participation! Well done Farmboy, Saint and Wilde Rover! Meant I didn't get my run in this weekend, but spent the afternoon in the park with mini, which included a 50 custard pie fight amongst a mob of us!

well hello and thanks to the wter board contractors who sliced through the BT cable and cut us off from the outside world this is the first day since wednesday we have a line.
WR has the edge on sanding but Mrs DB decided that we needed to decorate before our new bed arrived. Managed to persuade her that I shoulldn't paint anywhere near the windows as they are being replaced in a few weeks but will have to do that area after replacement.

Good times at San Dom, was thinking of you in beteen the thunder and lightning 9 miles up the valley(not 89-typo)
As a prize for decorating we had breakfast at Mimosa down the Bay-wonderful- followed by the Cardiff RHS show in Bute Park-oh joy. Che glad to hear things are improving.
Congrats Zoom on MOTM

I have thought about the Garmin elevation data Bob and the thing is that this plot is with the OS elevation correction on so its very strange. The Sporttracks plot is using the Shuttle radar stuff and it seems to agree with the first dip around the mile.
London is next week ? Really? :-) The most important thing I have learned in three years is that the small races nobody makes a fuss of are what running is really about. Like today I noticed in last year's results that were on display that a very good female runner from Les Croupiers did 35:50 so I was well pleased to be 25 seconds behind that time today, much more so than I will be at London next week.

Stop press " Plod results are out and they have given me 2 seconds bless them :-)

I like the plod too and was sad to miss it Saint - I like the small friendly races

But it is my first attempt at the distance, so I am trying to give myself a fighting chance

2 of the seconds they gave you must have come from the 3 that they robbed from me!!!

I don't care what sportstrack says, there was not 75 foot drop half-way up that first hill....and certainly no 125ft climb just after the 1 mile marker. (150ft climb in 1/4 mile is plenty enough.) Looks like both climbs were similar - 150ft in 1/4 mile..........which puts them into my steep category, but not too long.

Had already said I wouldn't be at Plod due to weekend away, otherwise would have done it. Done it a few times. A fab little event close to home :-)

Well done those who did it.
