I could've sworn I posted on here to say a proper thank you but having looked back it would appear I didn't. THANK YOU especially those who waited an eternity for me to drag my sorry backside to 22 miles.....took me longer than I had hoped but it gave me a real lift to make it to Fetchpoint. Loved my hugs from Siani and Minardi, and loved hearing about the rat called Katy  I wasn't very with it but I also enjoyed the G&T handed to me I think by Mykey, and thanks also for extending the fetchie hand of friendship to my new friend Welli who I made it all the way to the end with. I can't tell you what a difference it made to my race to see a few familiar faces (saw my OH and my Dad a few yards up the road, and then my brother just before 24 miles), especially as I had been struggling so much. I missed you at 13 miles, no idea how but I was looking out for my OH and Dad aswell and also missed them so must have been on another planet (probably the codeine!!). Will be back on the other side of the barrier for Fetchpoint next year for sure.

Thanks to all FP who gave me cheers and waves on Sunday. You didn't know me (wasn't in fetch colours) but I waved and got a huge cheer back. I've just posted a picture in the gallery which may have a well known and inspirational fetchie in the background. An inspiring and emotional day - all down to the support from family, charities and complete strangers. It's a pity that the crowd is so dense that you barely get a chance to make eye contact and say thanks. But at least I can thank FP. Hope there will be a next time on one side of the barrier or the other. |

Brilliant photo's Stander. I didn't see fetchpoint at mile 13???? How did I miss it???????????????? Its was loving seeing you all at mile 22 and getting your support and stopping to meet SherryB who had suported us fantastically in team 4. It was lovley seeing so many fetchies and receiving all your advice and support on my first marathon journey which has been amazing. Thank you so much
