Sorry if this is a stupid question but are the colours based on your predicted finish time? I’m in blue start but lots of faster people than me so wondering if that’s wrong for me.
The colours are based mostly on how you got your place - blue is club and ballot plus ladies championship, red is charity and fast good for age, green is celebrities and ordinary good for age.
Where predicted finish comes into it is in the seeding wave you will be in on the blue start and this will be printed on your number.
I don't think so Zee - there will be fast, slow and everything in between in all three starts. I think the different colours are just because they need room to put everyone.
According to the Race portfolio there are 205 registered Fetchies running VLM this year
From this group there are 45 Marathon first timers, meaning 160 have run at least 1 marathon and 6 (according to their club affiliation) have run more than 100 marathons
So plenty of experience for those newbie marathon runners to tap into.
