That's a great idea having a target ratio! I hadn't thought about that. You're not far off it either. I'm only logging walking on the WCP, but I've now got a mixture of running and walking getting me across Tennessee. It's too late to set a ratio there, as I should finish in the next ten days or so, but I'd consider it for another event. |

My LEJOG is 6months but I am going to carry on logging only running miles (just personally) I’m reading North by Scott Jurek at the moment while I know I’d never be brave enough to do anything like that I am going to see if there is any virtual races doing the Appalachian Trail (or similar) 2189m) |

That's a great book! Really awe-inspiring stuff. I want to watch the film of Karl Meltzer's run on the AT sometime too. There is an Appalachian Trail virtual event on the Conqueror virtual race platform, but you have to do it "alone" rather than on a mass start, unless you can find a mini-event or a group of people to do it with. I haven't really investigated it, but take a look here: theconqueror.events |

Oh thanks Synge! What is the movie? Def would watch that. We watched a movie recently which was about Bill Bryson hiking part of it. I’ve read a few run adventure books : A little run around the world - Rosie Swale Pope Can’t remember the name but Cheryl Strayed Pants of Perspective - Anna McNuff I also have 401 Ben Smith to read I saw him a couple of years ago about his journey. Inspiring as always. I still have Feet in the Clouds and my fetch secret Santa bought me Beyond Impossible by Mini Anderson just need more free hours in my life. |

We watched A Walk in the Woods last week. I'd seen it before and hadn't enjoyed it that much, but this time I found the gentle humour quite enjoyable. The trouble is, I think, Robert Redford is a bit too old for the Bryson role. And you wouldn't expect the Nick Nolte character to last the first day! But it's OK.

Haha I agree completely and I couldn’t get Robert Retford to be Bill Bryson but an easy watch. I’ll look out for made to be broken - thank you. In middle of Skid Row Marathon at the moment I don’t sit still long enough to watch things in a oner often 🤣 |

Will have to check out ‘North’. I read A Walk In The Woods’, but haven’t seen the film. Hope you enjoy Skid Row Marathon GG - I really enjoyed it, a bunch of us from running club went to watch it a couple of years ago when they were doing a one night only screening in various cinemas across the country (we met loads of runners we knew from other clubs there, and I believe the other cinema showing it in our city was also full of runners). Up to 264 miles on WCP |
