I'm sure this has been asked before but does anyone have a good recipe for oat-milk yoghurt? Would like to try and make some. I do have a yoghurt maker. Thanks.

Annoyingly my cholesterol is creeping up again which is rather disappointing, my diet is 100% plant based, well for 99.8% of the time at least, if I am out and nothing available to eat I will have dairy but this is rare.

So, I need to make more changes, the only ‘high’ fat foods I have is vegan cheese (coconut oil) and plant based sausages (once a week) obviously sausage can go but cheese is far more difficult as practically all vegan cheeses available in supermarkets use coconut oil, does anyone know of alternatives?

What do you use the vegan cheese for, Mrs J? I agree that nutritionally it's hideous. Different substitutes will suit different uses. Though if I was managing my own heart disease risk, I'd take a statin in adequate dose and not be too ridid about diet.

I use this stuff - lovingitvegan.com

To be honest it's not much like cheese (as in all vegan cheeses!) but the flavour is amazing!

How about nutritional yeast as a cheese substitute for soups and pasta; sprinkled on at the end?
Pangritata is a nice thing to put on pasta too. Sometimes called poor person's parmesan.

I rarely have vegan cheese, but go for alternatives or nothing.

Hummus is good in sandwiches, baked beans are good on toast, if you just want the flavour, then marmite or wholegrain mustard can be good.

When I make pizza, I put (real) cheese on OHs half, and put homemade pesto (no cheese) on mine.

Similar to Jenelopy. I mostly have hummus or peanut butter in place of cheese. If I have vegan cheese it’s just occasionally and I don’t eat it anything like as often as when I was veggie.

What's the state of the art plant milk for coffee at the moment please? I mean hot coffee-flavoured milky drinks rather than a splash of milk in a black coffee. I have guests arriving who are partial to such a thing. (I did ask, and the response was, "Thank you for thinking about it, anything will do.")
