I just use wholefood or minimally processed vegan sources and if I concentrate on getting plenty of protein I can normally just hit about 65-70g. Porridge with raspberries and almond butter is about 9g; salad with chickpeas/other pulses, some sort of wholegrain and various seeds is about 17-20g; some sort of tofu or tempeh dish with other whole grains followed by chia pudding and fruit is about 35-40g.

Mushrooms and quorn set my stomach off.

I find Apro Greek yogurt good for protein. However I do supplement with Huel protein meal replacement.

"Every little bean must be heard as well as seen".

I scavenged in the Co-op tonight and got some "no chicken southern fried tenders" for 50p instead of £2.50. Normally, I wouldn't have, but I thought "hmm, easy protein". Actually, they taste ok, but are anything but tender.

Just a quick update on my protein quest: I've saved some recipes from BBC Good Food and Olive Magazine's websites in my Copy Me That (my favourite way of saving recipes) and created a collection of recipes with >20g protein per serving - mainly tofu and tempeh! And I found some proper fresh tempeh in an oriental supermarket.

Lastly, although the Greek yogurt I can get here isn't as high protein as Fage, there is something called kvarg, which is like quark but nicer and 11% protein, so a good alternative for eating with berries.

The vast majority of recipes, if not all, in Anita Bean’s The Vegan Athlete’s Cookbook have over 20g protein per serving. It’s my fave cookbook at the moment.

Ok, just reading for non-meat protein ideas, not veggie, just want to try different things.

Question - what is tahini?
