Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

um
But there are about 15 dead people for every living person.
Supposedly.
Maybe.

But she's not like (say) Beethoven, who you might expect them to know about even though he's dead. She doesn't turn up on the radio - even R2 - or as soundtracks to films - is it reasonable to expect them to have a detailed knowledge of the last 70 years of popular music? Other musical questions are generally about quite well-known pieces or composers.

I will ask my uni group on Monday, they're all 18 to 22/23.

I would guess I know next to nothing about whatever they're listening to.

I know we've discussed this before on a superficial level, but is there a good reason a Fetchies team hasn't already applied to OC?

After my incredibly traumasting experience as an extra for my uni's UC team (don't ask, I *will* tell you, and I still haven't fully forgiven Heather bloody Charlton), the concept of appearing on a televised quiz is more than mildly daunting to me, but I'd risk it for the sake of meeting VCM.

(I would also be willing to temporarily relocate to the UK for purposes of application and filming. Because apparently that's a thing)

I think it would take a bit of organising and a bit of talent, let alone getting on and bring petrified.....

I can do small amounts of organising and talent, the rest would be on the other teammates.

While I'm sitting on my sofa at home I'm happy to get a couple of questions on OC, and enjoy the wall and shouting out the missing vowels phrases, I suspect I would be one of those contestants who says nothing for the entire programme :-)

I just checked the application process. You just write to them....the first port of call would be a team..... then some practice.

I couldn't go, I'd have nothing to say for the intro bit and I'd probably have a hot flush out of nerves! :-o
