Yeah i know i'm taking a chance Bogman. I broke my foot four time in 2.5 years and i think the original injury came from footy but playing has other life/social weight loss reasons as well. I will of course stop it before my big three races and probably before two others as heck i feel it in legs. That's old age for you !!
What i was getting at a bit was , would it be better to run instead? it would raise my totals by 40-50 miles a month but would it raise my game. I'm not sure it would.

took my garmin onto a 7 a side footie pitch..obviously not very accurate, by only pausing it while I was in nets, i managed 3 miles in about 50 mins..called it a fartlek session..

Hello Monsenb1 I did the same a few years back. The lowest was 1.5 and the highest 2.8 . I thought of pausing when my time in goal. The Friday game i know play in is i a much bigger than usual hall. Probably a third bigger and i definitely run a lot more so i may garmin it again if i can get a signal.

Take it easy. Treat yourself well. Run but have a bit of down-time. Maybe do some nice walks

sarabop, it is to be expected. Chill out and let the running (and mojo) come to you..... Far easier said than done, been there (more than once) and have several t-shirts.

sarabop....if you havent yet done so, sign-up for another one to give you a bit of focus. that seems to work for me. Post-race blues are inevitable; the training and build-up to the event can be all-encompassing, then there is the buzz on the day itself and then suddenly it is done and there is just a void !
