STOOSH
It's 83.58.59 at Hut 2 so he's outside the record. Given the variable conditions of a winter spine course records can be weather dependent i'd assume?

clicking on the checkpoint times says he's well outside the record - something is v off with my maths, but that's not surprising!

Has JK left hut 2 with no tracking signal or has he stopped for a snooze?

He's done it - just scraped in before midnight. Fantastic Effort. I suspect if he'd had last year's conditions, and maybe someone his heels, he'd have been challenging the record. |

Debbie Martin Consani 2nd lady. Awesome runner, known to many here. And her hubby doing a rather amazing challenge, along with Boab (of this parish), JamesStewart (also a Fetchie!) Has everyone seen on FB the Pyllon boys n girl are at it again! Pyllon Endeavour 2 (or 2020) - a relay of top ultra runners doing 537 mile winter trail! 23 Jan start. Boab (of this parish), JamesStewart (also Fetchie) etc. Crazy. Amazing! G The Pyllon Racing team are aiming to run the entire length of the Scottish National Trail from Cape Wrath in the North to Kirk Yetholm at the border. The un-official trail runs the length of Scotland and is one of the toughest and most varied routes in the UK - covering 870 kilometres (537 miles). We are hoping to set a winter record at 100-hours to raise awareness of the benefits of running and community to mental health and well-being. pyllonultra.com |

Thanks for that G. Fingers crossed for them that the river levels particularly on the Cape Wrath section make it possible for them to make good progress safely. Gwynn Stokes' attempt to do Cape Wrath to Edale via Scottish National Trail + Pennine Way last September came to quite a quick halt because it just wasn't safe/possible to get across a lot of the water courses in the very north.

So I've switched from excitedly watching John, Eugenie, Debbie, Eoin and Sabrina to willing on Lisa, Paul and Thomas. Just as inspiring. That Pyllon event looks amazing too, hope conditions allow it to happen. |
