A lad went missing at one of the swimming lakes in Eindhoven yesterday. His mates noticed they hadn't seen him for a while, his bike was still locked up in the car park and his stuff where the group had been sitting, hit no sign of him. Police divers searched the lake for two hours but gave up (maybe three light got too bad), but it looks like they're back there today, with a little white tent on the bank, but that could just be a precaution incase they find something rather than because they've already found it. Sad times. |

It not a serious swimming type of swimming lake, more of a beach bar with large pond, they have a variety of party type events there. They only timer I've every been it was right at the ends of the season Abad my friends and I were the only ones there, so it was quite nice. I drove past it yesterday just before finishing work and it was really busy, lots of people cooling off and having fun. I'm not sure how long after that the search started. |

That is very sad. The troubles the French have had with the Seine after spending squillions on a huge new holding and treatment tank for storm runoff suggests that SouthWest Water's plans to build a similar but obviously much smaller holding tank at the mouth of the river Sid this autumn may not solve our regular waste discharge alerts
